MA-ASTA Master’s Solo Competition
Novice, Junior, and Senior Divisions
We have a solo competition for everyone!
Novice
Students in 8th grade and under (or the equivalent ages) are welcome in our Novice Solo Competition. Requirements are two or more movements of the students choice that total 8 minutes or more.
Junior
Students in 9th-12th grade (or the equivalent ages) should apply for our Junior Solo Competition. There are generally four required movements, but it is different for each instrument. See the details page for more information.
Senior
Our Senior Solo Competition is for College and Graduate Students under age 25. Requirements for this level is the most demanding of the three divisions. Requirements can be found on the details page.
